I'm trying to load XP Pro on to a HP Notebook dv6 i7 7000. I did the required slipstream OS-CD addition of the SATA AHCI drivers, which allowed me to get past the common 0x0000007B error and to the "Welcome to Setup" blue screen. At this point it shows that screen for about 4 seconds then the whole system shuts down. The keys do not respond during that 4 seconds. Reinstalling Intel Software
Hi, I just had to do a clean install of my HP computer to fix a problem I had with Windows 8.1. I was able to install some of the intel software but I am still missing some components that were on my computer prior. If anyone could help me out, that would be great!
The software I am missing, that I didn't have on my computer before, is the Intel smart connect technology 4.0 x64 and the Intel SDK for OpenCL - Cpu only runtime package. I don't know if I need anything else or if the programs I am missing are not needed, I was just trying to get my computer back, program wise, to where it was prior to the clean install. I downloaded the Intel Graphics Drive, the Intel Rapid Storage Technology and the Intel Management Engine Components already.
My Laptop specs are:

Problems with i7 4770k stock cooler rpm's
Im having a problem that is driving me nuts seriously, the fact that my stock cooler of my i7 4770k is just at idle rpm, it stays ay 1100 rpm ALWAYS, no matter if im on idle or im playing games or doing stress tests, it never kicks the full speed.
Now when i actually restart the computer I CAN HEAR the fan FULL SPEED, but as soon i enter the BIOS or OS it goes down 1100 rpm... i checked the BIOS configurations and updated the BIOS still nothing, my MOBO its an ASUS B85-PLUS.
Speed fan isnt detecting my cpu fan nr does HWmonitor... so i cant control them manually...
I installed a software called AI suite for the asus mobo, and allows me to control the fan but the max rpms i got is 2500 rpm BUT i still cant HEAR it as when i restart the computer and its LOUD.
I seriously need help here i dont know what to do i even read that windows 7 could be the one that is buggy in detecting the fans and rpms and stuff so im just thinking in just instal another OS.

Problema con salida de audio HDMI
Hola tengo una Laptop Toshiba Qosmio X70-A y cuando conecto mi Monitor/TV LG FLATRON M2380AF por HDMI no me aparace la opcion para reproducir el audio en el parlante del monitor (antes de pasar a Windows 8.1 Pro si tenia esa opcion).

Dell Inspiron 5737 is overheating?
Hey,
I bought a Dell laptop about six days ago - Intel i7 4500U 1.8GHz 8GBRAM 1000GBHDD 17.3'' HD+ 1600x900 AMD Mobility Radeon HD8870M 2GB GDDR5, im very concerned about its running temperatures. At idle state it shows approx. 50 C and while gaming temperature can reach 85 C, are those temperatures OK? System does not crash lag freeze or anything everything seems stable even when gaming. I have read that Haswell processors run at higher temperatures, but 85 C, isnt that too high? I have not modified laptops hardware nor software, everything is full stock. So my question is - should i worry about frying this computer?

Buying a New Graphics Card
Hello! I need a new graphics card for my HP Pavilion 500-267c. I am told that I can support 1 PCI Express x16 (Gen 3.0) and a power supply requirement of less than 300Watts. I'm trying to play more demanding games. Some examples are Dayz Standalone, Rust, Garry's Mod, and Crusader Stronghold 2 (Not released yet). Most of these games can be found on Steam. Cant load resource
Hey does anyone know what causes the problems below?
My computer has two graphics cards, so normally when i right lick it would show 3 menu items, 2 for the Intel hd 4600 and 1 for the higher performance card.
So one day I right click and I find this. Image 1 shows my right click, the "cant load resource" options are where I'd normally have the integrated HD4600 card's options.
Opening any of the menus gives the same options. Image 2.
Trying to open the manager for the integrated card opens image 3 and the program never loads. what's up with that Intel?

Why is my i7-4790k overheating?
My i7-4790k(stock clocks) keeps overheating when running Prime95(100C, has to underclock itself to avoid damage), Intel Burn Test(90C-95C), and rendering video(85C-90C). Most cores idle at 30C-33C but one of them, Core 1(not Core 0) to be exact, runs 5-10 degrees hotter depending on what I am doing. I also use an aftermarket cooler because the stock cooler made my temps worse and I use Arctic Silver 5 as a thermal paste. No matter how many times I reseat the cooler and apply new thermal paste(I even clean it with ArcticCleaner; lint free everything), the temperatures always show the same patterns. My cousin has the same rig as I do(same thermal paste, CPU, cooler, case) and his temperatures never go above 80C even on full load. I'm 100% sure that I applied the right amount of thermal paste(I even tried different types of applications such as a line and a "pea size") and I even double checked to see the pins were fully inserted into the motherboard. Can anybody help me? Could it be that I got a faulty CPU? Thank you.

Reach Rapid Storage Bios menu
Hi, I've an ultrabook Asus UX301LA. I need to install Linux on it. The laptop uses the Rapid Storage Technology to make a software raid. It seems that the distribution of Linux I want to install doesn't manage very well this kind of fake raid. So I need to delete the raid0. My problem is that I can't access the RST bios menu to delete the raid since I've tried to install Linux (the installation stops when installing GRUB).
Is there a way to reach this RST bios menu using a usb key or is it a way to destroy this raid with Linux command line ? If not, if I install Windows 7 then install Rapid storage, will I be able to get the menu ?

Audio Latency
Dear All,
I am using a laptop HP-Pavilion-15-P001TX Notebook PC and the chipset configurations are
Intel (R) Core (TM) i5-4210U CPU @ 1.70GHz 2.4GHz- Internal memory - 4GB, System OS - Windows 8.1 -64Bit
Sub: Audio Latency delay regarding,
1) The laptop is not supporting real time audio, when I play guitar/ sing the output is getting delay and it is de-accelerating my performance ( not matching the beats timing)
2) The problem is not only for the audio production, even when I speak to my friends am getting audio delay and de-accelerating my speed of the conversation
2) HP did all the checks and they said the system is working as per the specifications and they fail to meet my basic requirements
3) The latency-mon is saying 4500ms delay in audio output
4) what will be the remedy to resolve the audio latency
5) Is that the problem with the motherboard or compatibility issue with windows 8.1
6) Will that work if I change the motherboard?
7) All the software and the drivers are updated
Kindly provide me a best solution to resolve the problem

Intel XTU no longer works/installs after changing from i5 to Xeon e3
I saw that some people are able to use intel XTU with Xeon's, but it wouldn't run after a simple CPU swap. So I uninstalled, rebooted, and attempted to reinstall the software and now I get an error that my platform is not supported.
I changed from an i5-3450, where Intel XTU worked fine, to a xeon e3-1230v2.
Complete specs:
OS: Windows 7 Enterprise 64 Bit
CPU: Xeon e3-1230v2
Motherboard: Biostar Tz77xe3
RAM: 16GB Dual-Channel DDR3
GPU: AMD HD7870XT (Tahiti)
Any fix for this? Or any other programs that will force the CPU to run @ 3.7ghz (2 cores)?

SYSPREP - Windows 7 USB3 Device ID problem? Q77-Q87
Hi,
I would like to know if anyone here have experienced a problem with SYSPREP and the drivers for the USB3 chipset Q77-Q87.
Here's our conflictual situation :
We used intel desktop motherboard for quite some time now... but since intel has stopped making their motherboards our reseller now sell computer with the Q87 intel Chipset.
We have the ASUS Q87M-E (http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Q87ME/)
The problem is that SYSPREP choose to install the Q77 USB3 drivers instead of the Q87's for the ASUS Q87M-E. This cause the USB3 ports to malfunction.
We have all the drivers in a structure on the local hard drive ex:
C:\Drivers\Q57 - C:\Drivers\Q67 - C:\Drivers\Q77 - C:\Drivers\Q87
Do you guys have any idea how to fix this ?
We tried many scenarios, older/new drivers... but it seems that the Q77 Drivers contains malfunctioning drivers for the Q87 USB3....
The only way for the USB3 to work on the ASUS Q87M-E is to remove the Q77 USB3 drivers from the listing... but now the Q77 does not have anymore USB3 drivers to install...
