Intel SCS ver 9.1 - which SQL editions are supported?
Hi,
I'm planning on installing Intel SCS ver 9.1, along with the RCS.
I understand that an SQL database is required to install SCS in database mode.
But I cannot seem to find any information as to which versions of SQL are supported?
So when installing Intel SCS 9.1 is SQL Express 2014 supported or do I need a different version?
Many Thanks

IRST keeps removing and detecting a raid1 disk
I'm using Intel Rapid Storage Technology to build a RAID1 volume, based on two Seagate HDD (ST3000DM001-CH166). It works well in some days, and keeps reporting error in other days. The IRST pops up a message says "SATA array disk: Removed.", and one second later it pops up another message saying "Unknown disk on Controller 0, Port 5: Detected.", then a third message saying "SATA/Unknown disk on Controller 0, Port 5: Detected.". Every pop-up is followed by a beep sound from the disk. If I open the IRST software after the first popup message, it shows that one of the two disks (that builds a RAID1 volume) is missing, as shown in the attached screenshot. The error messages pop-up every couple of seconds -- it is really annoying.
I checked the connection and it seems all disks plug correctly (otherwise it won't work well). I scanned the disks and found no errors. I returned those disks for exchange but the problem did not disappear, so I guess the problem is not on the disk.
How can I get rid of the annoying error message? Thanks.
Intel USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller Installation Fails
The problem I have is getting my HP DV7T-7000 Windows 7 64-bit laptop's USB 3.0 ports to function at USB 3.0 speeds. I used to get 3.0 speeds but noticed I'm having a problem in the last few months. When I attach a USB 3.0 device to a USB 3.0 port I get the message that says your device can perform faster when attached to a super speed port. I've tried to uninstall the Intel USB 3.0 extensible host controller driver. Re-installation of the latest driver from Intel failed and I got a BSOD during the installation. I updated my BIOS with the latest firmware from HP and the BSOD ceased but the driver still wouldn't install properly. I get an installation error and after restarting the USB 3.0 controller is installed but not USB 3.0 Hub which shows to be an Unknown Device. The driver installation log reveals the details below. When I tried the Controller driver supplied by HP for my laptop I get a prompt saying that the "PCI Bus" driver that's installed on my system is newer than the one that's getting installed and whether I want to overwrite it. I don't have System Restore activated on my system and I also don't want to go through the tedious process of re-installing Windows and setup my development environment again. It's worth mentioning that I use Advance System Optimizer to keep my drivers up to date. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How to use termios and ioctl functions in kernel module?
I wrote a kernel module for a touch screen monitor and earlier I used inputattach(written in userspace) to open the serial port, set baudrate, control flags, line discipline etc.,
But now I want to implement the functionalities of inputattach directly in my driver as I dont want to trigger my driver from an userspace program i.e inputattch.
But I cant able to set c_ispeed,c_ospeed,c_cflag,c_iflag, line dicipline, etc., in kernel space. Is there any solution to set baudrate, line discipline etc., by only using my kernel module?
Can't Install XP Pro (32bit) on to an HP Notebook dv6 (intel) i7 machine
I'm trying to load XP Pro on to a HP Notebook dv6 i7 7000. I did the required slipstream OS-CD addition of the SATA AHCI drivers, which allowed me to get past the common 0x0000007B error and to the "Welcome to Setup" blue screen. At this point it shows that screen for about 4 seconds then the whole system shuts down. The keys do not respond during that 4 seconds. I don't know what to do from here. 3610QM Processor Chipset: Ivy Bridge HM77 Help please!

Intel Rapid Storage Technology
Is anyone using Windows 7 to backup and restore a PC using Intel Rapid Storage Technology? I am using a a 32GB SSD to accelerate the main 1TB Hard drive. I am not sure how to proceed here, I don't want to experiment, I am looking for someone who is using a caching disk and how they go about backing and restoring in windows 7. It seems like the Intel Rapid Storage Technology ads a level of complexity that is less than ideal. Possibly It might have been better to spend the extra money and go with just a SSD rather than trying to save money and add extra layers of work.
Any help or insight would be appreciate
Falla la placa? Falla el procesador? Is not working the motherboard or the processor?
Mi pc is not working at all, i tried my memory ram in another Pc and is working ok, the same thing for the video. I want to know which is the problem. A guy told me that is possible that my processor and my motherboard is broken. Is that real? I have a video of the problem:
Gracias! Thank you !
Memory failed in MFSYS25
Hello everyone!
Recently, after maintenance when my compute module started to boot it booted with error and said something like: "Memory failed at DIMM_A1 and DIMM_A2". I thought it was memory problem, but when I replaced it to new work (tested) memory, an error occurs again.
In BIOS I cant see anything relative to that. I tested the battery on BIOS and it's OK. Also tried to reset BIOS to default but in vain.
What can be a problem? and how can i solve this?
Issue posting: "potentially inappropriate content"
I am not sure where to ask this, so please move me around if needed. I am having trouble posting a reply because of "potentially inappropriate content." I have tried narrowing down the problem text, I'm sure it's just a word or phrase that is flagging the automated block. This is a entirely technical post, so I would like to know what I can do about this.
Thank you.

Local (CPU) APIC address?
Hello,
I was reading the "Desktop 4th Generation Intel® Core™Processor Family" Datasheet at https://www-ssl.intel.com/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/datasheets/4th-gen-core-family-desktop-vol-2-datasheet.pdf
...and it shows the Local (CPU) APIC address to be at FEC80000h -
But then underneath it says the following -
"Memory requests to this range would then be forwarded to the PCI Express* port. This mode is intended for the entry Workstation/Server SKU of the PCH, and would be disabled in typical Desktop systems. When disabled, any access within the entire APIC Configuration space (FEC0_0000h to FECF_FFFFh) is forwarded to DMI."
This contradicts what the image shows and suggested that FEC0_0000h to FECF_FFFFh will go to the DMI to the I/O Apic.
I have checked the MADT tables and it shows the local CPU address to be FEE0_0000, which it is on most systems. This then clashes with what is shown to be MSI interrupts.
2 questions then really,
Do both the local CPU APIC and MSI interrupts use FEE0_0000h?
What is this range between FEC8_0000h - FECF_FFFF for?
My CPU is the Core i5 4570 on the Z87 chipset.
Any help would be appreciated.
Kind Regards,
Robert Smith
Possibly a stupid question...
I got a deceivingly stupid question, I am on the intel site trying to download drivers. and they have software for like windows 7,7*,windows 8, 8*, windows 8.1 and win 8.1*. I am assuming it means for updates? like if i have windows 8.1 update 1 that would be windows 8.1*??
Video card or driver doesn't support UBYTE4N vertex data. Help please!!!
I recently installed Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 on the PC, and after everything installed and updated, I tried to start the game but this came up: Video card or driver doesn't support UBYTE4N vertex data. I tried to update the driver, but it said it was up to date. What do I do? Please answer soon.
Windows ( 8.1 )updates keeps breaking my RAID 5.
First the question if anyone can answer that would be great.
1) What is the difference ( in Windows 8.1 ) between clicking on the power icon ==> selecting shutdown VS power icon ==> select shift + restart ==> select shutdown ( from the next screen).?
2) Can I somehow manually setup the System Volume flag in RST?
Background:
I installed a RAID 5 setup on my computers ( actually I tried it on another computer before with the same result) . Initial install was with a HP recovery DVD with Windows 8.1. Initial install went fine. after a couple of days and lots of updates, my computer would only start after a long delay and a couple of restarts.
When it did restart I noticed, when I shutdown the computer the HDD light would stay on for a long time about 20 seconds. and then the computer would power off. My guess is its writing something and windows actually shuts it down before it has a chance to finish. In the meanwhile, the RAID volume has also become unmarked as a system volume.
The only way I can do a clean shutdown which I somehow happened upon accidentally , is to select shift+restart and from the options shutdown in which case it shuts down normally within three seconds.
More background:
I tried setting up RAID on a different computer before too but ran into problems after running updates. I now believe its something within the Windows 8.1 cumulative update. ( Microsoft released a cumulative update for windows 8.1 patch all the windows 8.1 updates ). On my previous setup ( z87 and 3X OCZ SSDs + clean Windows 8.1 Enterprise install ), I was having a similar issue ( i,e it all started off fine, but after a few days after Windows updates, the Volume would loose the "system disk" flag in RST and then it wouldn't start properly.
Actually this is my THIRD setup, I also tried installing Windows 8, upgrading to Windows 8.1 ( up-to that point all was fine. ) but then after a couple of days after more updates the result.
If anyone needs any other info other than listed below feel free to ask.
I realize some people might say , its a Microsoft issue ( which I agree with), Unfortunately Microsoft has officially stated in several spots that RAID 5 as a Boot drive is not possible ( which I don't agree with), How ever that means I can ask Microsoft for assistance on this.
Specs of the present setup:
z75 chipset HP motherboard
4X OCZ SSDz
i7 cpu
present software specs:
RST :13.1.0.1058
chipset drivers: 12.8.2.1000
Intel Matrix Storage and 3TB?
Here's what I've got:
Intel Xeon CPU, E5620@2.40GHz
Installed memory 6GB
System type: 64-bit OS
Intel Matrix Storage Manager option ROM v8.5.2.1002 ICH10R/DO wRAID5
2 Seagate Barracudas, 3TB 64MB cache (STBD3000100)
The problem is that when I try to set up a RAID1 array, the setup program says that the drives are only 750GB. But if I hit F2 before the machine boots, the computer recognizes them as 3TB drives. I'm having some trouble with Windows recognizing them as over 2.25GB drives, and I know the Intel Matrix RAIDs can't recognize drives over 2TB. But why is the raid not recognizing them as at least 2TB drives? What can I do to fix this? Switch down to 2TB drives?
Thanks in advance!
